The woman's father I believe is some sort of Crime Boss, her husband was a valet for a hotel when they met and so he does everything he can to show her father that he's worthy including killing a family and taking their puppy to gift to her. Needless to say she was of done. She learned English because she was going to leave him but instead she went on the plane because she does love him she is just scared of who he is becoming and ended up on the island

This scene is from a show called LOST, it's a 2000s tv show that is truly amazing (mainly the first 2 seasons). I'm normally not a person who actually watches shows but once I watched the first episode, it was actually truly thrilling. It revolves around a group of survivors crash landing onto a mysterious island with ALOT of lore behind it. It's truly amazing, you should actually watch it.

Edit: A couple days ago I finished the show and the last episode wasn’t that bad it’s just I think they should of kept Jack as the new Jacob and maybe have Lock take Desmond’s body which would get rid of his weakness also they should of kept the second time line as a second time line.
