Im glad I saw this right now when I needed it, Ive been thinking about the rare cases in society where health problems become the precursor to a sort of state of imperviousness to morality and I find that justice often fills the gaps created by the systemic alienation of it.

Catchy words that make sense in English but less so in Nietzsche's original German. The word used in the title of his book is 'jenseits', which, although it does translate as 'beyond', goes more in the direction of 'from the other side of', so to say. The antonym would be 'diesseits' which literally means 'this side' (and even sounds similar when pronounced correctly). 'Beyond' could be somewhat misleading as it can imply that the good is 'up' and evil is 'down', especially if we consider the notion of 'beneath' in this video.

So, the obvious point of this warning is that once we start to relativise morality, we are in danger of becoming immoral, or evil instead of good. Of course, this is precisely what Nietzsche _doesn't_ want us to do because it would mean replacing one principle (good) with another (evil). In that regard, we arrived nowhere, we're still 'on this side' instead of 'jenseits'. Nietzsche doesn't want us to become im-moral but _a-moral_ (or non-moral). His point is to go 'to the other side' of this whole concept and consider what is beneficial to our psychological health (to avoid the word 'spiritual') instead of being restricted by moral values socially imposed on us.

I know it sounds like a slight and irrelevant difference, but once you get deeper into Nietzsche's writings, you'll find that it is a crucial one.

I would be careful of implying that if good and evil are erased there is nothing but evil. It's a reasoning that stems from a misunderstanding of human character, most often fueled by religion

“Beyond” is not misleading. To not imply that good is “up” and evil is “down”, is to go beyond good and evil.

Any creative genius would know that; that's precisely the point and the tragedy and that's how we sell Elvis and Brian Jones to the masses.
