Amazing coincidence? I have 3 black velvet dynasty's. #4, #6, #10. I've had the #6 and #10 for decades. #4 is recent. Love these springy brushes. Very useful.

I'm so glad that someone has finally reviewed Dynasty watercolor brushes! I've been using the Faux Squirrel round watercolor brushes for a long time, they're probably my most used synthetic watercolor brushes. Mine still have really nice points and I've probably abused them over the years since I keep them in my travel kit :) They're my favorites after my all squirrel or kolinsky brushes and Black Velvet mix brushes (I use the Black Velvet the most) because they're softer than the Taklon brushes. Those Caviar brushes look awesome and I've been planning on getting some Faux Squirrel flats for awhile, because the Black Velvet flats are a little too soft for me.

Just wanted to come back here and thank you SO MUCH for this video. I placed and order with the Brush Guys. The brushes came rather fast and I ordered a few different brushes. But I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Princeton Aqua Elite I ordered because of your recommendation. I sort of stare at my other brushes now as I sort of can't stand to use them as much as I love the Princeton Elite. Mainly it's such a workhorse and the point it snaps back too has been so satisfying. I can't thank you enough!!

I recently went on a brush buying binge, (say that ten times as fast as you can). I picked up an Escoda Versital 6 travel brush, Silver Black Velvet rounds (8-4-12) and two quill brushes a 6 and a 4. I have noticed a huge difference in my painting. Watching this to see your opinion is on these brushes. Your reviews take the guesswork out what will work and what won't.

What an amazing and thorough analysis of a brand line. I never knew Dynasty has _so_ many products. Also, I love that you're offering the 5% discount through Brush Guys. That's really fantastic. Well presented and of course, I suddenly need new brushes. Funny, because yesterday I didn't. lol! Happy Father's Day, Steve! :)

Thanks so much, Steve. Always very informative and helpful, not to mention entertaining and comforting. I don’t know why, but your voice always makes me calm and happy like a child with a trusted friend. And I’m 74 years old! Go figure! 😻

Thanks for the great review, Steve! I bought a #10 Dynasty Faux Squirrel to try out, thinking I would give it to my daughter if it was a decent brush but I haven't been able to put it down since it came in the mail, I love it so much, so now I have to order another one for her, haha! And I will be ordering other sizes for myself, too. I have a set of Black Silvers but decided I really prefer the snap of the Faux Squirrel and that it holds more water - I just wish it had a little nicer handle. I especially don't like the bar code printed right on the handle, but at the lower price I suppose a compromise on the quality of the handle is to be expected. Such a great price on these brushes, even with the Canadian dollar!

That was fun, Steve! I always enjoy your reviews and I learn a lot from the way you use the brushes even when you are just trying them out! Happy
Father's Day to you, too!

Thanks for your reviews. You put a lot of work into your vids. Quite relaxing to listen to too.
Dunno if it’s the same company, but I’ve got an old Dynasty nylon I dug up when my artistic habit returned during chemo. The brush was from around 1976. Same with an old Grumbacher. Sentimental I guess. Or else I’ve got your Brushaholicism syndrome developing here? Cheers.

Thanks for a thorough and excellent review. I have some of the Dynasty black gold brushes and love them. I also think the Brush Guys would do well to give more information on the brushes. Many times I’ve looked and did not buy because I found little if any info.
...but they are a great company to do business with. Thanks again.

Thanks for the review, love seeing all the cool supplies you find. This taught me a lot about brushes and now I can add some good ones to my collection!

My Princeton Elites, I do like, but the hooking tips make me nuts. I also feel the fibers are much too stiff. The Escoda Reservas & my Isabey brushes are my favorite. I still adore my Black Velvets! (& Neptunes!) Thanks for the review, Steve! I may have to take a peek at the Caviar brushes. 😉

Great review Steve. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the review. An additional plug for the brush guys is that artists in Australia and Europe say that, even with shipping, it is often less expensive to get brushes from the brush guys than it is to get them locally. Educate and compare!

The Elite by Princeton is the only Princeton that I have and I love it.

Hi! I love your channel, specially reviews like this! Would it be possible to make more reviews of brushes made in Europe or a list of alternatives? The American made ones tend to be expensive with shipping :, (
