Research!America hosted a webinar on April 11, 2018 focusing on prevention, research, and discoveries in treatment and therapies for migraine.

Nearly one in four U.S. households include someone with migraine. Despite the prevalence of this neurological disease, few effective treatments are available for patients. It is critical for researchers to understand the causes of migraine to increase the opportunity to develop and test interventions that could be more targeted to preventing or interrupting attacks, according to the National Institutes of Health. How can we ensure the right treatment reaches the patient at the right time?

Speakers include:
Katie M. Golden, professional migraine patient
Robert E Shapiro, MD, PhD, Department of Neurological Sciences, Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont
Michael L. Oshinsky, Ph.D., Program Director, Pain and Migraine, NINDS/NIH
