This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Of course people can embrace or interpret however they choose, but as a gay man myself, this was one of the first coded gay songs I ever heard; and indeed, most gay people understand this song as implicitly gay. But I loved this song so much that I had multiple cassette tapes through the 80s and 90s filled with dozens of different cover versions of Nature boy. I would collect as many as I could find. And the song is so perfect, it's really hard to mess up. At the same time, it's melody and structure is so unique, often it's hard to put a new spin on it.

But I have to say truthfully, as someone who has collected almost 150 versions of this song over a 35 year period, yours is one of the most artful I've ever heard. And better yet, captures the hard to place mysticism of the song which can often feel like romantic longing caught between heaven and earth. Great interpretation man.
