I'm actually surprised she was allowed to do it without any safety equipment even if it's at a local fair most competitions you have to have cut proof chaps on work boots gloves safety glasses are hard hat with a face shield and hearing protection protection

To avoid possible massive injury do not put your head over the line of the chain in other words and invisible spot where the chain could go if it broke!

Yes ma'am if you ride the motor down a bit then raise it up so the tip catches up it'll cut a bit faster . Two questions. What size is that saw and bar set and are you running a standard off the shelf chain ? Either way you did awesome for the first time out . Most people wouldn't dream of giving it a try .

With MS500i there is no hope for some good results.Beter to took MS 660.

It would go faster if she rocked it. Need to keep the rpm's up. Otherwise she did great.
