Where Do Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny Originate?

Many beloved cultural traditions have a religious or spiritual origin to them. This includes the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs. Yet, where did these traditions originate? What does their symbolism mean? What is their connection to Easter?
