That's why everyone should be a prepper to some degree. Pandemic. Natural disaster. Zombie apocalypse. Prepping is survival

I worked at walmart, for food look in-between the aisles, you'll be surprised how many cans fall back there.

It would be smart to stock up on supplies now before the zombie apocalypse happens

The veterinarians office would be a good place for antibiotics and painkilling medicines, surgical equipment, etc.

I would highly recommend finding a safe place first. Then forage for supplies. Team up with a small group if possible. Then work on weapons and communications. Weapons really should be # 1.

If you had never said zombie, you could have been talking about surviving Mardi Gras in New Orleans. 😉

Keep rolls of quarters for all the vending machines you come across. 😜

This information can be applied to any survival or emergency situation. In the Marien Corps I taught wilderness survival and can see how easily all of this information can be used in any situation

For me it's 1) defense, 2) water, 3) food, and then 4) shelter.
Stocking up for any disaster is important. Lots of foods requiring requiring only water and heat (optional sometimes) can be lifesavers! Pasta, rice, instant potatoes, and those flour-types for pancakes and biscuits should be right beside any canned goods in your pantries.

Getting Information/News from multiple sources will help you figure out what is really happening and allow you to prioritize things and execute your plan. Safety/Security measures should always be your family’s priority. Do not stop improving your position just because you have temporary safety. Zombies are relentless therefore you need to Improve Daily in all areas of preparations.

Your best weapons are a .22 pistol and/or rifle. They are light and cheap and the rifles at least are always fed by clips. It is easier to suppress a .22 clap than any other caliber.
Any revolver is easier to fashion a suppressor for. Semis need to have threads cut into them. Revolvers have a section of barrel that you can slide a home-made suppressor over.

Irony: recent migrants from Central America will survive, while you may not. They are physically fit, most having walked hundreds of miles across rugged terrain to reach our border; they are used to camping outside and inured to bad weather; accustomed to a simple diet of beans and rice, corn, etc., the ingredients of which are easy to carry, can be prepared quickly under field conditions, and are found almost anywhere. They also tend to have close social connections featuring an ethic of mutual support, and a strong religious faith to sustain them in trying times. Their work ethic is second to none. Their expectations are low and their outlook tends to be determined but fatalistic — the right stance to take at the outset of a zombie apocalypse.

Stock up on ammunition fire arms. Plenty of ammunition for all firearms in your possession, Food and first aid supplies.Of course but you also have to have the ability to defend your stocks

The first 72 hrs, most should be able to lock down in their home or even place of work. Do you have any food in your desk at work? Encourage your workmates or you get to share.

What’s really important in the first 3 days is the slow collapse of municipal and shared services (city snd suburban infrastructure), as their minders desert their posts or are themselves turned. Most depictions of a ZA show an instant hellscape, with buildings in rubble, vehicles wrecked, and lots of stuff on fire. That wouldn’t happen. The first 3 — up to 10, actually — would be much like you live now, only with a progressive and unpredictable shutoff of piped water, natural gas, the fuel supply, Internet…In such a relatively benign environment (presuming you don’t try to take the fight to the zombies and stay hidden), first-aid gear won’t be very important. Guns and ammo, other weapons, barricade materials, yes. Anybody should be able to survive in the contents of their own (or someone else’s) pantry for 3 days.

For medicines, veterinarian clinic and hospitals. People don't think about it, but many of the medicines are the same, just different doses. That can be worked around. They would also have bandages, casting materials, and possibly even portable equipment you might not find in a human establishment, like xray machines and ultrasounds. Useful if you have anyone with medical training.
