as long as the wax isnt smoking, youre good. its usually around medium

@zzyyee14 no, the only difference is that the snowboard irons dont have the holes for the steam like normal irons. you need to turn the steam off if theres no button to activate the steam.

@basso4735 i believe its on the nylon setting. just make sure the wax doesnt smoke while its melting and youre good

@BIGeyMAC yeah you should wax it. its not good for the boards base to be riding dry all the time. itll eventually damage the base of the board.

just a normal brush youd find at a hardware store, or they have them at target as well

@XxnitroflowXx scotch brite pad or adobe pad, its a rough sponge basically

@Anthonyg4993 i would just scrape the wax off and start over. the scotch bright pad is the last step, like in my vid

@jannplanken should be every 3-4 trips, but i usually just do it when the board looks kinda dry

I brought my board to a store and got it waxed, but noticed after they ironed out the wax, they didn't scrape it off. I bought my own waxing kit and plan on doing it myself from now on. My question is, before I start waxing, should I scrape off the wax thats already existing, or Do I have to use some solvent and a scotch brite pad?

@Irish1727 haha, dont do that. its not the same type of wax. snowboard wax is designed for snowboards, candle wax isnt

what temp do you put the iron on? Im using a clothes type one as well.

will the iron still be good to iron clothing after using it to wax the board. thanks
