The Uncensored History of Area 51

Annie Jacobsen, Columnist, Los Angeles Times Magazine; Author, Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base

Gil Gross, KGO Radio Host - Moderator

Myths and hypotheses about Area 51 have long abounded, thanks to the intense secrecy enveloping it. Some claim it is home to aliens, underground tunnel systems and nuclear facilities, and some conspiracy theorists believe that the lunar landing itself was filmed there. No credible insider has ever divulged the truth about his time inside the base. With unprecedented access to military and intelligence personnel, Jacobsen takes an unprecedented look into the Nevada desert activities, from testing nuclear reactions to building super-secret, super-sonic jets to pursuing the war on terror.

Shes my favorite author right now. Just finished her area 51 book which was incredible. Mid-way through surprise kill vanish and it is just as good. She writes in such a way that is easily digestible but also has such a depth of information. Well done Mrs. Jacobsen. Look forward to reading the rest of your work!

I find Annie Jacobsen's presentation totally credible and sincere and will order and read the book. I enjoyed the video and the questions and answers were intelligent.

Why am I just hearing of this lady? She’s fantastic in every way. Speaks as well as she writes, does Incredible research, including the first credible eyewitness testimony on Roswell that really makes sense of it within a rational framework.

I’ve got a major nerd crush on her flinty voice and sexy-librarian thing too.

Now I know what to read for the rest of the covid doldrums. Everything she’s written, IOW.

Interesting. However, there is still the idea that her comments on Roswell crash being an USSR effort could be a misdirection by the U.S. on what is really going on.

I found it interesting that she did not answer whether she had a secret clearance.

She talked a lot, but she never really answered the questions. I don’t really find her to be credible.

Recently-: I figured why I never saw a UFO. Even had a relative who stated she saw a UFO, but I doubted it. After awhile, I figure out why-: Thank you Annie Jacobson(en). You are one of the best!

Brilliant public speaker. Handles potentially incendiary information with objectivity. Author is frighteningly brilliant and under complete emotional neutrality. The delivery is fascinating, with a soothing voice and inviting manner. Her grasp of the complex and ability to convey such information is super-human. A phenomenal woman. Well trained and seems farm-raised.

Any 'explanation' has to encompass all the evidence including radar returns, the stories the people in Roswell reported, the speed the disks have been clocked at traveling, and all the rest. The rancher who found the original crash (there was another at Aztec a while later) said the debris went on for 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile; there was plenty for him to load up into his truck and then when they went back there was plenty more for the Army to gather up. Was this thing several hundred feet across? Really? Stalin 2 years after the War ended couldn't feed his people, no way he had tech of that level and was planning this ahead of time to have mutated humans all grown up and ready to go. And the 'mutated humans' would have been genetically or by autopsy identifiable as human. As stories go, this is fine, but I hope somewhere in the book she relates that it's as preposterous as it sounds and she was just given the 'journalist's rendition.' Yeesh.
