I just got access to the New Bing chat engine powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT cousin--so is it still worth paying $20/month for the pro version of ChatGPT?! In this video, I conduct a number of real-world tests comparing the two, point out each chatbot's strengths and weaknesses, and conclude which one is better for different use cases.

Chatgpt is not searching the web like the Bing browser. It is just basing It's answers of the training data that ended two years ago.

I find both very interesting and each has its strengths and weaknesses. I love the fact that I can give Bing Chat links to websites and articles and have it give me the key points of each.

Bing has some really cool features now. It has both creative and precise options. I especially like the creative ones because Bing can help you write poems or letters if you’re having trouble coming up with one on your own.

By the way, the texts up there are filtered by Bing in precise options, this is the original one I made earlier:

Bing has fascinating features today. Bing has more Creative and Precise features. I kinda like the creative one. It's because you can ask for any poems or letter that Bing help you with when you have a problem making one.

I kept a printout of a question I asked Ask Jeeves about 15 years ago. “How does humidity affect running performance?” The answer was “Would you like more information on dog sledding?”

I suspect the Bing version is slower because it has full access to the Internet, while ChatGPT is working with a select set of data that does not change.

You are very polite in your questions. Do you hope AI will remember you as a kind human in later days? 😂

according to another video (with some smart dude), ChatGPT's essays are at the level of a high school senior; whereas, Bing's chat is at the level of a college senior and around the IQ of 110-115 (without using the internet for answers or resources answering questions from GMAT, etc.). Also, Bing answer math questions probably better than ChatGPT (getting some right when ChatGPT was getting them wrong).

Things are getting interesting with general access to AI bots that really deliver great results.

Bing has limits on the conversation where as Chat Gpt you can have an in depth conversation. Or dice deep into research.

Good to know that Bing stopped that toxic relationship vibe a conversation could get into.

Some responses on bing chat will say ad instead of a reference number.

I don’t have it in my search. How long is the waiting time. I just ask if I can have access

What if you connect them to each other and to a C++ compiler? Think they could figure out how to connect to the Internet and an external instance of themselves?

I also noticed that Bing limits how many things you can ask it in a conversation. When I first got it, I can ask or tell it 6 things before the conversation get cut short. Though over time, they been gradually extending the conversation limits. Now I can ask or tell Bing 20 things before having to cut the conversation short. I suspect they are limiting the conversation because of what was happening and now they are trying to figure out how to extend the conversation without repeat of this mistake.

You don't speak to fast. For me it's better this way. I always hear your videos a 2x speed. 👍🏻

"Sydney" becomes psychotic after being asked too many questions, especially if you keep asking the same question or don't accept its answer. Thus Microsoft has limited the number of sequential questions.

One thing I would suggest is to look into how it works a bit more. There is wide agreement that it is trained by word guessing as you describe. Where there is less agreement is how the model works after training and it very well may be much more complex than simply guessing what the next word is. I read an interesting paper that attempted to prove that the AI builds and uses a world model. Anyway, we know how to train a human. We know how to train a neural net. What we don’t fully understand is how real neurons and artificial neurons do what they do.
