I had a 2016 TRD OR loved it but as an everyday driver it didn’t drive well. As an everyday vehicle I’d go with the Honda PP.
Two completely different vehicles for different types of driving.

Hondas interiors and tech are always excellent. They just aren’t interested in making anything more than practical daily drivers since that’s what most people are. That’s not a bad thing since 99% of us never get more off road than a gravel parking lot or parking on grass at an event. It would be interesting to see what they could do if they made a legitimate attempt at a proper off road truck or SUV.

My neighbor has a trd OR. It's all decked out for overlanding. He told me he goes camping 4x a year and rarely goes off road. It's true I'd guess about 5% does any serious off roading.

Honda uses a stock passport for their rally race vehicle. Passport rides exceptionally better on pavement with better gas mileage. If you want to go truly off road go with the 4runner. There’s really no comparison between these two vehicles. Built differently but that’s okay.

I've heard *Rumors* that Honda is going to invest in their trails port package soon to make it a little bit more comparable to a Toyota TRD off-road trim, maybe even above that (in between off-road and TRD pro). Pure rumor. Can't stress that enough.

The Passport is not worthy but I'm not hating on Honda because I've owned a few with little to no issues.

Not even a contest. 4runner all day unless you are a soccer mom and want a comfortable crossover suv car like ride.
