Ricordi di un fine settimana d’inverno a Roma, una città che si racconta da sola.
Con il sole o con la o pioggia ci mostra tutte le sue meraviglie svelandoci una bellezza che si perpetua nei secoli tanto da essere definita anche Città Eterna.
Ma sai perché è chiamata così?🤔Il termine "Città Eterna" (in latino Urbs Aeterna) deriva dalla convinzione che Roma, fondata nel 753 a.C. , fosse destinata a durare in eterno, grazie alla sua grandezza, potenza e importanza storica
Il poeta romano Tibullo già nel I secolo a.C. parlava di Roma come di una città immortale,
La sua continua evoluzione nel tempo, dalle origini come piccolo villaggio alla capitale di un vasto impero , fino al ruolo centrale nella storia della cristianità, ha contribuito a consolidare questa fama di "città eternità".
Ancor oggi Roma continua ad essere una città senza tempo, in grado di affascinare e ispirare generazioni.

The term ‘Eternal City’ (in Latin Urbs Aeterna) derives from the belief that Rome, founded in 753 BC was destined to last forever, thanks to its greatness, power and historical importance.
The roman poet Tibullus already spoke of Rome as an immortal city in the 1st century BC.
Its continuous evolution over time, from its origins as a small village to the capital of a vast empire and a central role in the history of Christianity, has helped to consolidate this reputation as an ‘eternal city’.
Even today, Rome continues to be a timeless city, able to fascinate and inspire generations🏛️❤️
