Vincen Garcia - Funk in B - Bass Cover on my Sadowsky MJ Bass

There are some rushed notes and a few imprecise moments, but I’m working on tightening things up. Right now, I’m playing at 107 BPM, while the original is around 114 BPM.

Vincen Garcia is a bassist I really admire. His phrasing, feel, and tone are outstanding. In this cover of Funk in B, I’m playing my Sadowsky MetroLine 21-5 Standard M/J Limited Edition 2024.

I play this wonderful bass in the single coil mode of the back pickup only. I use DR Lo Rider roundwound strings and mostly Ampeg modelling on my Quad Cortex or HX Stomp. This video sports HX Stomp with B15 and a subtle tube compression. No matter which amp you use, playing over the bridge pickup is key.
