In this video I share an exclusive, behind the scenes tour of one of the most epic collections of American and Swiss watches. We'll take a look at a watch that was owned and worn by Elvis Presley, timepieces that helped in over forty space missions and put men on the moon, military watches worn in World War I & World War II, and some of the rarest and most iconic Bulova and Accutron watches over a century. Most impressive and truly amazing is where they are all kept—in a private museum inside the beautiful Empire State Building. Join me for this fun travel vlog from Philadelphia to New York City, for an all-access tour that any true watch enthusiast is sure to enjoy.

Had no idea Bulova had a watch for blind people. My fathers blind so I truly appreciate that from the brand. Excellent video as always TGV!

My stepdad was Managing Director of Bulova Far East and also Africa from the mid 1960s thru about 1980. I spent my childhood living in Hong Kong and Johannesburg learning about watches and visiting his offices where they did repairs and customized pieces. He brought home cases of watches to be considered for production as well as new models. I loved it. He has since passed, but I have his personal spaceview and a few others. I have a pretty big watch collection of many brands and the one i get the most comments on is always the spaceview. Epic watch. Love this episode. Nice job Gentry!

Wonderful! 10 years ago I purchased a Bulova Watch to help me heal after losing my wife of 23 years as I would see the new Bulova on my wrist and feel a little less sad noticing the indentation on my ring finger where my wedding ring used to be. Now Because of you TGV, I have even more history and enjoyment to connect to my watch. Thank you for this wonderful video. 👍🏽

This is an incredible love letter to Bulova. A brand with one of the richest histories in all of watches and ESPECIALLY important to New Yorkers like me. It truly is a shame that in past decades the brand has turned its back somewhat on their history and became the “mall watch” we all know, but it seems like they are taking back their history and attempting to become the class act brand it really should be. Thank you for this video and thank you for whatever part in Bulova’s bright future you played by making this.

My Dad gave me a Bulova Accutron about 37 years ago. My Dad passed from covid in 2020, but I have his Bulova, which I am looking forward to having restored. Bulova is near and dear to my heart. Thanks for this video TGV.

Thank you for putting in the time to produce this. I was unaware of the support Bulova provided for Veterans, it means a lot to me.

Fantastic video TGV! Great to hear from these two gentleman and see that Bulova is invested in preserving its history. Hopefully the company will take more inspiration from this in their upcoming products (and perhaps make them a tad smaller too!).

In 1950, Max Hetzel, a Swiss engineer joined the Bulova Watch Company in Basel, Switzerland.
Ardé Bulova, who was then president of the Bulova Watch Company, asked Max Hetzel to research these new watches. Mr Bulova was concerned that he would lose market share if he was unable to produce watches powered by an electric battery. A fairly straightforward report by Max Hetzel in 1952 ruled that these new electric watches, which still used a conventional balance wheel, did not provide a significant gain in accuracy over conventional mechanical watches. However, his report predicted that the development of the brand new transistor could be the key component of electronic watches of the future.
Bulova began the development of the 'Accutron' watch in 1952 😉

Just the fact that Bulova made this collab with you, shows how smart they are and how they're putting the work in. Now I want a Bulova!

Love this video, I'm not sure why Bulova doesn't get more love. We see too many Rolex, or Seiko videos but not many Bulova. Good to see them get some love and congrats on your 500k subscribers! 👏 👏 👏 👍 👍 👍

Great video! Bulova is definitely a brand that I never could connect with, just not my style. It was interesting to see they made a watch for the blind. My father is blind and my whole life he always used talking digital watches to tell the time. And even though he lost his sight he still had appreciation for watches. He always made me wear one as soon as I was old enough to tell time. He also knows I'm big into the watch hobby and I guess I have him to thank for it. Besides his talking watches he has one that uses small balls that move around the watch to tell time. I absolutely have a new found appreciation for Bulova now.
