Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - Get That Sound

The title track from 1983's Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) album has one of the most instantly recognisable synth riffs around. There have been many different theories about the synths used on it, but the consensus seems to be that either an Oberheim OB-X was used for both the left and right riffs, or perhaps a Juno-6 and Roland SH-09 for the left and right channel riffs, probably sequenced using a Roland CSQ-100.

If you type into the YouTube search bar Eurythmics - The Home Studio you will see a short 3 min video of Annie and Dave. At about 50 seconds into the video he starts talking very specifically about a machine he built. He says that's how he got the sound for Eurythmics. Interesting stuff, even tho he just mentions it.

in an interview Dave mentioned an SH-101 on the left and a SH-101 on the right and funnily, Roland's SH-101 Plug-Out offers a preset that sounds the same

The original synth used for the song was a Roland sh 2 not an ARP odyssey

On the 2nd bass part, there is a slight chorus or even a phase/flange on the synth, & the synth sound itself is a bit brighter.  But all that aside, great job.

They had a WASP synth Not sure if they used it here but it sounds like it

tighten up them notes, sound needs to be more fuzzy, needs abit of kick to it, listen to the original and you'll hear what I mean, not bad though
