Had a deposit on the new LC and just had it refunded. I ended up going with a 2020 HE LC. Absolutely love it. Not one once of regret. That V8 is a beast and drives like a dream.

I built a Landcruiser edition with Premium package and a couple of accessories and it's $69K. That's the price of a GX 550 Premium plus! Why not go for the GX instead?

Just played with the configurator, glad they didn’t make so many packages like the TACO. The configurator is simpler, not to much fluffs 😂
So about $2000 difference from LC to the 1st Edition (with premium package addition).

I cancelled a deposit at my dealer once I found out I couldn't get a 1958 with at least softex. This configurator confirms it was the right decision, for me. ~75k for a First Edition LC? ~70k puts me in a new GX550 Overtrail...

Hmm, the upper trims/package LC is probably a strategic way to up sell to Lexus, the next gen 4runner upper trims might be a way to up sell to LC, and so on. Some people will just prefer one or the other, but corporate behemoths know what they are doing...

First Edition is already being delivered. They started production awhile ago. There's one at the body shop in Miami because a tree fell on it in transit

$69.9k for a J250 Premium. And $77k for a First Edition. The GX550 Overtrail is "only" $71k! That's 1500 gallons of fuel before the mileage benefit of the iforce-max kick in.

I'm not sure what Toyota is thinking, but I can't believe that my 2010 limited 4runner was just shy of $40k and now it seems you can't get into quasi-luxery for under $60k?!?!

Disappointed there aren’t more color options for the base, nor an option to add the swaybar disconnect. I guess that’s to guide you to the more expensive Land Cruiser trim but then you lose the option for round headlights and those sweet tweed seats.

I feel like for me it would either be the base Land Cruiser or the Overtrail LX.
