What is the coolest vintage pedal you have played through?? Let me know!

I had a rear piddle once, it was after a dodgy kebab.

Very cool pedal man. Hanging onto it will only increase its value I guess - as there aren’t going to be any more of these made obvs

Its not a pedal but I have an old Gunn 100 valve amp with quad box speaker cab, had it for 38 years and paid $300, and it was old when I got it! Still works awesome! It was way louder than any of my mates amps, so I always had to keep the volume down. Used to have an old Dunlop Wah pedal from about the same era. Still have the original Boss HM-2 and Boss DF-2 pedal from when they were first released back in the dark ages! 🤘🤘

In the late 2000s, I still had my first pedal I got as a teen in the late 70s - a Shin Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz. I honestly always struggled to get a sound I could use with it because of how it cut every bit of bass out of your tone. But I noticed online that people had begun paying insane prices for them, and even though I had a sentimental attachment to it, I traded it to a friend for a late 1960s 4x10 Ampeg bass cab, which was something I actually needed for upcoming bass gigs. The Fuzz was something like $60 back in ‘78 when I got it.

I played a Rockman sustainer 100 for a long time. Hard to find, loved the sound. Had it in the back of a fender twin to hit the front end a little harder. Great sound.

I had a 70's Univox Supa Fuzz, luckily picked it up before vintage pedals become a big thing.. about a decade later and not playing it much led me to sell it, I was kinda glad to hear you didn't sell as sometimes I wish I didn't.

If have a lot of old gear, but I don't give it away. I still use it and it has its own character. I still experiment with different effect pedals and have a lot of fun.

Haha, something tells me you got your Tone Bender from the same dusty place I got mine! I had two and an Overdriver and a couple of Octividers (dogs!). I sold one to a UK fuzz luminary for silly money a fair while ago. Still have the others. One octivider I turned into a valve overdrive, though.

Nice pedal mate!
Never seen one eh, the germanium diode smoothed it out?

I played through a mates dad's old Morley Fuzz Wah (early 70s?) thing was 2ft long, bloody heavy too!!

You should sell to Josh. He is a great pedal builder and probably will built a perfect clone of that, so other people could enjoy it. Not to mention that He really loves pedals. Never to a museum. It will just seat there...

so even though you "modded" it, it was still worth 2k to him?

I would have sold it. Things are only worth the value you attribute to them. If you can make something you like better then why keep it? It's true you may never come across another one, but honestly so what? How is that relevant when you don't seem to care about it that much?

I used to have an original mxr distortion plus. I just don't know what happened to it, it was just gone one day. I loved that pedal.

Josh Scott is the worst thing to ever happen to the guitar electronics industry.
