What is remarkable to me is the power and authority with which Peter begins living after being filled with the Holy Spirit in the upper room. He preached fearlessly, healed the lame and commanded the power of both life and death. The line "To whom shall we go?" keeps me so centered in my faith. It reminds me that it's not going to be easy, but there is no other place I would rather be.

Master to whom shall we go? The 2 options are believe & follow Jesus or the crowd: To believe and follow Jesus or follow the crowd and go their separate ways: Todays Gospel reading is a deep representation that people need faith for them to survive. The Gospel's message is no different from this society's situation today they must change their hearts and minds and follow Jesus and not the crowd and put their faith and trust in God Alone! Thank You Rev. Mike O'Connor & God Bless! ⛪

Love St Peter, I've learnt humility from him, he an uneducated man, but skilled in fishing, he always spoke out his heart, but gave in to Jesus. The time when Jesus asked to cast out the net, he could have very well replied, You son of a carpenter, what do You know about fishing... At the last supper, he didn't want Jesus to wash his feet, but agreed when Jesus said that if he doesn't allow, he will no longer be his friend. In his own ways he obeyed and loved Jesus. He denied Jesus, but later, he was bold, not only in preaching, but ready for martyrdom and wanted to be crucified, upside down, besides all this, he is the one that the Holy Spirit spoke to, while he said to Jesus " U are the Son of God". To sum it all, he is the first Pope, and this has continued to this very day.

I love Peter's heart, and this is one of his best moments - he didn't get what the Lord was saying but he had certainty that He was who He was, and he yielded to that. His application of his belief is very clearly illustrated here! One of the greatest lines, perhaps ever ... "To whom would we go Lord? YOU have the words of eternal life"

This is the only instance in the Gospels where a large group of his disciples walked away. It happens to be Jn 6:66.

I want a sign to be presented to me to show me that my presence is wanted. No such sign has been presented to me, despite my constantly asking for such, which tells me that my presence is not wanted/welcome.
