There was a radio station back in 1997 that played music like this in Los Angeles, Maybe hearts of space. I was there for only two weeks and it was a very difficult time for me. That unforgettable music was my greatest source comfort and I really missed it when I left L A. I found a few Cds to over listen to for the next 15 years and now finally the style of music is available anytime. My favourite Solar Fields album! Great for ambient background music when you're relaxing, jogging or playing a game. Used to play Fallout 3 & New Vegas, exploring the ruins/deserts with this music playing in the background. The feels I got from that!

I am thankful for every psychedelic band / artist I discover, no matter if rock or electronic. Especially genres like psybient / psychill (and partly psytrance and psydub) are getting more and more important for me since the last few years. There are so many great artists like Shpongle, Entheogenic, Solar Fields, Mystical Sun, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Slackbaba, Flooting Grooves, OTT, Chronos, Androcell, The Infinity Project, Kick Bong, Eat Static, Hallucinogen to mention just a few. I am happy for every time I put something in my Winamp playlist. Music is like a miracle to me sometimes.
