This whole album is basically about life on the road...its challenges and everything it entails.

I’m 65 years old and have always like Jackson Browne’s music. I’ll suggest one song, my favorite of his which is called “Doctor My Eyes”

Loved this in high school and it takes on more and more meaning every year that I get older. Never get tired of hearing it..

As you age these lyrics become so prophetic. It is a simple song but truly one of the best ever written.

Always loved this song. Another one by him I love is Doctor My Eyes, very meaningful lyrics to that one as well. Such a talented guy.

The female harmony voice you hear is Rosemary Butler, who has the ability to blow the headphones right off your head. As many have suggested you do The Load-Out/Stay, you will hear her at full power, especially if you do the live BBC version.

That summer of 77 when this album came out was a wonderful time for music. Loved David’s playing on this and miss him so much. I suggest The Loadout/Stay live performance. Pay attention to David Lindley’s lap steel playing and falsetto voice.

Great reaction! After this introduction to Jackson, time for his performance of The Load Out/Stay live on BBC from 1978.

At 2:29 they eyes raise because.... here's the harmony! For me, this time listening to this old, well known favourite THAT is the highlight.
This is why Aaliyah can enjoy a song without a video, because she is a musician who can actually hear with her ears - without having to see moving pictures.
I'm late, I almost missed this one but I just had to say it!

Yep, that's an iconic voice that Jackson has. He sounds exactly the same way live as he does on his records. No auto tune here!
Jackson's ability as a singer-songwriter is legend. His storytelling makes you see and feel what he is singing about - mostly human emotion - and I should know, I've seen him 17 times in concert!

For a Dancer, In the Shape of a Heart, These Days, and Your Bright Baby Blues. And about 50 more. Saw him in 1978 or so for the first time, saw him many times after including last year.

He’s one of my favorite songwriters, and the eternal fight between living for love or survival is a recurring theme in his songs. The Pretender is another example. He has a deep catalog worth exploring. As an untrained music lover, I really enjoy your musically informed reactions, especially to some of my favorites. ✌️❤️🎶

One of the finest Songwriter/poets of the 20th century. May I suggest his song "For A Dancer"

“Look around for the friends that I used to turn too to pull me through, Looking into their eyes I see them running too”

When you realize that the world isn’t just about yourself.

Great classic song! Jackson Browne and Bob Seger are two of the best motorcycle lyricists. Try "Doctor My Eyes" and "Call It a Loan" for my other two favs of his.
