I remember back in the Dolby Prologic era, companies made their center channel speakers very tiny, so that they can fit on top of any TV. They sounded thin, and rarely matched the left and right speakers in terms of sound quality. We have come a long way!

Once upon a time I owned a set of Electro Voice speakers, 1950’s vintage, that included a separate center channel 30” woofer in a DIY enclosure that was roughly 50” W x 40” H and 36” deep. Needless to say the spousal unit was unimpressed. This woofer survived almost 20 years in my home (including several moves). The divorce came 10 years later. Residual effects, like post nuke war radiation effects.

Still smaller than my Titan 836 center. Can't beat it's twin pro audio 18" drivers, 8" midrange and 1" compression driver.

In my personal point of view, the TV is much to small for the center channel setup… but I like it big as well. Enjoy the movies with the new beast in da house😉

Awesome if you have the money and space, but to me, a speaker needs to look good in a smaller size factor while still delivering great sound.
They already proved that it's possible with the 1961 lineup. Sad they discontinued them instead of making them a living room lifestyle option with a more rounded chassis.
