Should you take AP Human Geography?

I'm taking this class in freshman year, and I think this video will help a lot. Unfortunately at my middle school there were literally zero geography classes (they stopped doing them a few years ago), however my school still recommended the class to a lot of the new freshman, so I'll probably still be okay.

I had a project to do for this class where I had to do a power point, 2 page summary and reflection on some articles I read, and a 1 page speech. (The project topic was on Genocides) It was really tough for me.

Thank you so much for explaining what AP is. I am from the UK/England, and we don't have anything like this in our secondary schools. College-level work, which we call A-Levels, is done only in year 12 and year 13. After we have done our A-Levels, we can choose to go to university. A-Levels are optional.

The "A" in A-Levels stands for "Advanced" if you're wondering.

Yeah AP classes last 1 semester, only if you choose to extend them by taking a CLAR class will it last 2

hi!! i know i’m extremely late to this video but i have a question. i am considering taking this class freshman year, history and english are my strongest subjects. i don’t have a passion for history but i would really like to try AP freshman year. is it a huge workload? i am involved in a lot of extra-curriculars, so i’m a really busy person. but i am passionate about getting good grades and work hard, but i’m worried about being overwhelmed all the time if i take this class because of how busy i already am. this is a bit of a ramble but i’m having a really difficult time making this decision. if you have any advice, that would be great!! thank you so much!

The only thing that’s stressing me out is if I should spend money to take the test. I have a pretty good grade in the class (A B+ that I’m pretty sure I can bump to an A- at least due to this rLearning stuff) but I truly just don’t understand anything in this class and I’m pretty sure I’m most likely gonna fail the exam. Also, idk if the credit actually transfers over to anything, I’m not really sure how that works. I want to go to UCLA for film and I don’t think taking the AP HuGe exam will in anyway help.

Thanks for the great video! In it you mentioned taking geography as a prerequisite class. At my school, there aren’t any prerequisites for APHG but I have taken some APs including AP world, AP gov, and AP statistics. However, I have never taken a geography course before. Do you think those AP classes will help me out with APHG. Also, what are some topics that you learn in geography? I’m currently trying to do research as to what AP (or two depending if I can convince my counselor to let me continue with psychology) I want to take in senior year as I will have a choice and I hate all electives offered at my school. Are there any others you would recommend?
