I had a Thyroid nodule that my doctor was keeping an eye on over the years. When it got large enough, they did a biopsy and it turned out cancerous. They removed that lobe but found that the cancer went into a lymph gland, and they removed that too. Since it went into the lymph, i had another surgery, and they removed the other lobe, as well. Later, I had Radio Active Iodine treatment. Thankfully, everything is ok now.

I had 5 cold thyroid nodules that were found purely by accident after an MRI. They stayed the same for 4 years until I noticed a small lump that felt like a hard pea on the left side of my neck. My dad was terminally ill and I was caring for him, I stupidly kept putting off an ultrasound. When I did the 3 nodules on my left thyroid gland had tripled and quadrupled in size. A biopsy came back with abnormal cells but inconclusive, it was recommended that I have surgery as the tumours were growing like crazy. All three were cancer, explained to me like walnuts, the cancer was on the inside and margins were clear. 5 years later the same thing happened on the right with the very same results.
Lesson learned, follow up and make your health a priority. I am very fortunate.

I have one and the size and looks of it made them immediately order a needle biopsy. It’s definitely scary for me. In 33 and have always been in great health so this is a shock.

I have a 6mm nodule on my thyroid.
Currently doc is just keeping an eye on it.
I have to go in for yearly ultrasounds, and blood work.

(There is some family history of thyroid cancer).

And it’s not cancerous it just wants to hang out and part, sometimes it brings another one along to have more fun. They get to stay cause they’re just having a mellow party.

Thank you for the info. You're video is so educational. I wish my Dr explained conditions & tests to inquisitive patients like me rather than just issuing meds & further tests.

This is very timely for me. I have a few thyroid nodules, and one was relatively large. I had a hemithyroidectomy, which was ok (I’ve had far worse surgeries, including cardiac catheter ablation). But then the pathologist found that one or two lymph nodes tested positive for carcinoma. The endocrinologist wanted Thyroidectomy completion surgery, but the surgeon said that was too aggressive, so we’re just keeping a close eye on it.
P.S. I had TWO biopsies because the endo didn’t get enough tissue on the first round. It wouldn’t have been too bad, but I couldn’t have topical lidocaine because of Afib. She said to take a Xanax instead! Then I had to have another biopsy. I took TWO Xanax and I was flying! The biopsies weren’t terrible, but they weren’t too good either.

Are nodules easy to detect? If you don't see anything, how do you know that it's there?
Did I miss a previous video that explained the process?🤔

Antibiotic thyroid medicine from Dr emuakhe on YouTube from Africa vanished my thyroid case and haven't seen any reoccurrence to date, you're truly an epitome of good treatment...

I have two thyroid nodules which are TR4 and TR5. A biopsy was ordered however, the specialist that was supposed to do the biopsy refused, saying they are too close to my CCA. The doctor still wants a biopsy but no one will do it. What are the options?
