***************************************

Cry Me A River is a jazz standard that was composed by Arthur Hamilton and performed by such greats as Julie London, Frank Sinatra or Michael Buble.
It has a James Bond like touch to it, due to the ascending melody in the first chords.

I arranged Cry Me A River in chord melody style, which means that the guitar chords and the melody of the song are played simultaniously. Althoug I made a backing track, my guitar instrumental arrangement can be played on it's own - guitar only.

We have a lot of fancy jazz guitar chords in here, which give this song it's special touch. So if you ever wondered how to play Cry Me A River on guitar this is the perfect guitar tutorial for you.

The level is intermediate. I tried to make it an easy guitar tutorial.

Finally someone who can play the song beautifully that like me has shorter fingers. I almost dislocated mine trying to do some of the other people's arrangements. Thank you Sandra looking forward to more of your arrangements.

I've spent the last few weeks struggling with the Kessel tab. This is beautiful and more playable. Thank you.

Every time I listen to you play, You steal my heart. You're such a natural at emotional interpretational Jazz player, and of course, as everyone says, you're a fantastic teacher. One day I'm going to learn these songs well enough to take an online lesson from you. From Your short-fingered friend as always, keep it up.

Incredibly beautiful arrangement and performance Sandra. Your soft, gentle way of playing harmonics and hybrid picking embellishes this remarkable composition. I enjoyed the way you combine the A flat half diminished inversions with the bluesy touch of G nine sharp 11 and the F sharp seven flat nine diminished shape. The whole song is so melodic and beautiful, but I especially like the way you say: “And here is the entire phrase number two for you at slow tempo” 😂 Keep smiling, I love the way you do it!

Very helpful. A suggestion. You are in the same key as the Julie London and Barney Kessel version. Should put that iconic Kessel intro in there
