United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Wednesday that he was "shocked" by what he described as "misinterpretations" of remarks he made a day earlier at the UN Security Council on Hamas's October 7 terror attacks on Israel.

Why doesn't Israel JUST WITHDRAW from UN? Just leave the body! The UN is a place where all countries have autonomy. There is freedom of expression. There is freedom of thought. There is freedom of opinion. At the UN, a country does not have the right to demand that another country agree with it. Therefore, if Israel does not think that the UN serves its interests, it is up to Israel to withdraw from the UN and not ask anyone to withdraw or resign. This is called democracy.
Israel can put WORDS in the US' mouth but not in the 193 mouths.

Conversely, governments with the largest and strongest military power will sit with the sole right to act as they see fit, even killing innocent, civilian people who have committed no crimes at all. When Russia asserted partiality towards Ukraine by Guterres, not peep out of him, but here israel throwing a tantrum and immediately so much noise, and pressure on Guterres to make big announcement. Something here in the world definitely topsy turvey.
