• Get a USB flash drive having adequate space of at least 5GB.
• The USB flash must be formatted. (and if you don’t know about that, we will discuss it a bit later)
• A technician PC which will be used to format USB and a destination PC where you’ll install Windows 10.

Step 1 - Firstly, connect your USB flash drive to a working PC.
Step 2 - The most straightforward way to launch disk Management utility is by clicking on “Start” and then “Disk management”.
Step 3 - Start formatting the partition using the right-click button on “Format” option. Choose “FAT32” file system.
Step 4 - To set the partition as Active, simply right-click on the USB drive partition and click “Mark Partition as Active”

Step 2 - Select the correct version of your system. It will be either 32 bit or 64-bit version.
Step 3 - Run the tool after installing it.
Step 4 - Accept the Application notices and license terms.
Step 5 - When its interface appears, select “Create installation media for another PC” and click on the “Next” button.
Step 6 - Decide and choose language, architecture, and edition. If you have to reinstall Windows 10 in the same PC, click on “Use the recommended options for this PC”. Otherwise, you can leave as it is.
Step 7 - You will be advised to select media. Click on “USB Drive” followed by “Next”. Click on “Next” once more. Wait for a few minutes for the tool to download Windows 10 media file for installing windows 10 from usb on a new computer.

Step 1 - Restart your PC and keep pressing on F2, F12, delete or escape key for the boot menu to appear. Select the choices according to your choice and click on the “Next” button.

Step 3 - Accept the license terms displayed on the screen. Again, you will have to click on the “Next” button.

Step 5: Your PC will ask you to select the partition where you want to install Windows 10. Choose it and click on “Next” button once again.

Why do we need to format the flash drive? I thought Windows 10 set up utility do it by itself

So I followed every step of this guide. Got past the windows installation part. Pc restarted. Went back into bios after restart and my PC still won’t detect the new drive as a boot drive. It shows up under storage but after windows “installs” on it i still don’t have the option to use it as a bootable device. It only shows my USB drive. Any tips?

First I created new partition in unallocated space. Windows made 3 partitions. 50mb system reserved, 499mb OEM (reserved) and 931gb primary. You didnt create new partition, just pressed install. Have I installed incorrectly?

I downloaded this windows 10 and it is iso file.. I didn't find this installer wizard.. I used rufus to make bootable usb.. But when I boot through usb nothin happens.. Only blank screen.. What u have to do??

Hey I got a question...when formating the USB drive you recommended to use FAT32 but after some research I found that NTFS I better when it comes to the creation of a bootable win 10 usb

Hi how can you use the drive as the start up permanently? Because everytime I start up my computer I have to go and boot from the usb and install it all over again. Do I need to delete the other drive partitions?
