Sean Frangella Hey sorry to bother you man but I'm running into a really interesting problem that I would love to get your input on.

So I want to use the technique you used with the outline but when I took the .jpg of my clients logo and made it a vector logo in Adobe Illistrator and copy and pasted it into AE, put it on a solid, and opened it in Element and all of that jazz I noticed that when I extruded it inside Element the inside part of one of the main parts of the logo was missing, the logo is in four different shapes, but of course since I copy and pasted it from Illistrator it's in one mask, I did try taking the logo inside AE and tracing it into four different masks then extruding each piece inside Element and making the logo, however by doing that I can't do the technique with the outline, which was why I was here in the first place.  Do you have any idea why this happening or an alternative I could do?

on the write on effect part, what about I use the multi object rotation on element 3d? is it possible then, make the write on effect while rotating the e3d text?

Nice tutorial, Sean.  Well done and helpful.  I've tried following a couple of other tutorials on this same topic, and all of them, including yours, seem to be missing one feature I was interested in including.  In the original movie trailer, when you watch closely, after the dark text fades into the the red texture, it seems to crawl across the surface of the text...almost as if the lights were in motion maybe?

Seen here at about 1:22...


Any idea how this effect would be achieved?
