2020 ram 1500 Big Horn clunking noise start up at the driveshaft

OMG, thank you for the video, it’s the EXACT sound/noise my 2020 Ram 1500 makes. Pretty much had to reach out to the owner of the dealership this week (9/22/2022) because service said it was. “Normal” sound. They did nothing about it. Not sure if it’s related but I’ve also been getting horrible fuel mileage since I purchased it (14mpg in summer & 12 in the winter). This is my forth Ram and I never heard this sound before. I currently have 14k mikes on this one - it’s almost new.

2020 bighorn 4x4 also doing this at 13k miles. I have noticed it’s mainly on cold start ups or first start of the day! I also notice a clunk when going into drive and think it may be related

I am having the same issue on my 2019 Rebel with 42, 000km. We need a fix for this!

Thank you for uploading the video, this is the exact issue I'm having. Dealership says because it rarely happens it shouldn't be an issue.

It will not do it again until you move the truck in a different and not 2 ft. I'm told to let off break pedal right before engine start. It will not make noise on remote start.

I have a 2022 Ram 1500 that makes the same sound and sometimes on slow speed when I go to a stop when I downshift the gears it makes the same sound and also when I go at high speeds when I downshift and press the gas again it makes the same sound

Having same problem on my 2021 ram 1500 sport with 12, 000 km. Took it to the dealership and they told me the truck just needed an update so they did it and told me the problem was fixed but the clunking came back the next day….

My 2020 Ram 1500 Big horn 15000 miles does the exact same thing.

My Ram 2020 Bighorn does the same and the Ram customer service said that he engineers are saying that is normal. I don't think it is and I haven't still figured out how to get them to fix it

yeah mine does that too. they have no fix. the LED lights that have a mind of their own have no fix. The clunking body to frame mounts still have no fix but a TSB was issued november 20

Mine clunks from a stop all the time. Hate this truck now it feels like a pos
