Love the premise of your book and especially the main characters. We both share a love and interest in the tarot and also have the desire to write and get published.
One thing I have heard that makes sense to me - and might help you at this stage - just write from the pov of your main character and let them dictate what happens - don’t pre plan or over think. Let them tell their own story … I think it can be too restricting otherwise. It should be a fun exercise whatever happens❤ put the sisters in the driving seat and see where they take you 🥰

Okay, watching for the 2nd time to write this long comment (sorry🙈)

First of all! So happy to hear about your book(s). Really found this interesting. Keep them coming.

I’m currently writing a couple of stories (actively working on 3, there’s 4 that’s just there waiting for me to open the document😢)

Also started one of the books (I’m calling it The Cult - not the official name) last year around October, I think and then as I was writing this other scene a whole new book manifested - The Mysterious Death of Dennis Connor. I quickly drafted this but I think it was a zero draft because of the plot holes. I was so excited about this but I wanted it to be more of a literary fiction novel and it is leaning more into thriller/mystery so yay! 😬😅

And then there’s Imperfect which is supposed to be a contemporary family drama where this guy finds out that his famous mother cheated and the guy he knows as his father is not his father. This is so exciting but the middle feels so bloated. I have no idea how to shed off some threads and ground the story.

Anyway, long story short, I feel stuck on all projects. I’ve been trying to finish at least 1 of those but I have nothing.

Whenever I feel down about what I do, I always think about how other people who do worse than me and make money from it without shame, girl there're still lots of shitty mafia romance books selling crazily 😂 If you value your work, invested in writing this is what really matters. Writing is extremely hard when you really put a quality work and your first tries shouldn't stop you to do better. Work on it, read it like an outsider and criticize your work, if you don't like it change it, if you like it It's good to go. I hope you do well 🌸
