Yellow Submarine UK Firsts are very scarce. For whatever reason. The flip back, red line, black inner, “sold in the UK” copies are extremely hard to find, especially since the S.I.T.UK line ended up being nixed not too long after the first was released. Also, the flip backs were being retired when that album was released. Thats why Abbey Road, which came out 8 months after, did not have any flip backs, or did not have a SITUK text. Monos are the real money makers. They are a lot less common to find compared to the stereo pressings- seeing as not only were 2 factors were already being phased out, but the mono format itself was disappearing, so hardly many were pressed.

Brian… you should’ve based it on the median price better lol.. but interesting and funny to see those outrageous prices for the top5 😂 although the butcher cover is probably at the right price
Cool to see you making a lot more videos lately 👌🏼

Early BC13 sets were imported to the US in which the Capitol pressing of Rarities was sold in. It actually has different mixes in Rarities than in he UK pressing. The early blue boxes were also numbered.

I also have the Capitol Blue Box "Rarities" with the UK tracklist cut by "Wally" but i don't see much information either. Some of the Discogs images of the Purple label are from my collection.

Just because 10 people are selling the same album and one of them sells for $500, doesnt make the rest of the copies worth that price. I refuse to pay over $50 for any album unless its a box set . Anyone foolish enough to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars needs an examination.

Nice video and I enjoyed seeing and hearing your take on each item. I am a Beatles record collector as well. 👍

When the boxset of the Original Beatles Albums was released in 1978. EMI stated that the box set will have a Bonus Vinyl. After some record shops separated the album from the box. EMI then decided to release the album separatly. Unfortunately, they decided to keep the cover as it was.

In December 1980
EMI decided to release a Brilliant Box Set : THE BEATLES BOX
Containing 8 Vinyl Albums. This is Great Set due to most of the tracks in Brilliant STEREO (for the first time)

Really enjoyed the video. I never really got into pricing my albums. That being said, I have an album called “The Peeling of Tangerine”. By the band Tangerine. It’s kind of rare. It sold on discogs for 400 dollars and i have two of them. I also have a Jimmi Hendrix 7” of Hey Joe / 51 Anniversary Song promo $128.00

According to Discogs my most valuable vinyl I have is a Robert Ludwig Zeppelin II at $2391. After my grandmother died, I found it in a box of garage sale records she bought at some point. It’s definitely not M. I would say VG.

I would've went by median price, but I need to do this with my collection too.. I'm curious what most value LP's are. 😎

Last year, I purchased the Beatles 2012 stereo set for under $400. It was mostly unopened. The stereo set seems to be coming down a little as the 2014 Mono set is now a king's ransom to buy and getting even more expensive day by day.

Ok. According to the Perry Cox price guide book. The US rarities album on the purple label came in the US pressing of the blue box ( noted by the gold the Beatles collection at the center of the box instead of the top and emi logo and bc13 number on the side of the box). The green label rarities was scheduled for release in October of 1979 but was cancelled so no covers were prepared for that one

Good video! I'm not going to list them by value listed on Discogs, but here are a few Beatles albums I have that I think are valuable in no particular order.

XEX 601-1 Revolver
2nd state Butcher cover
Misaligned apple Abbey Road
2 lowish number top loader White Albums
Red parlophone label Please Please Me and Love Me Do singles. I also have the Black and Silver 1st press of each of them as well
Last but not least I have a mono black and gold Please Please Me.

Box sets- I have a BC13, both the black and the white box sets. Couple singles box sets you've covered.

I had to go check my copy of Yellow Submarine after I watched your video. I have that same pressing. I wonder why it sold for so much. I didn't pay much!

Thanks for the vid, I enjoy all of the content you post. Just wanted to point out that's the wrong cover for the "valuable" monarch doors 1st pressing, (should not have the gold award) also if your copy does not say "break on through to the "Oher" side (instead of "other" on the side 1 label it's not the right record either.

Do you have the Beatles in Mono 2014 vinyl box - I think that goes for a fair bit these days

Discog prices are a joke and are mostly responsible for the overly inflated prices of vinyl these days.
