Boy she’s a feisty one! That is the definition of situational awareness kids!

Valuable lesson. Keep that foot on the bag, and keep your cool. Major props to 3rd baseman, great awareness.

Always keep your foot on the base until the pitcher has the ball

That's a tough lesson learned! Rejoicing in air makes you out down there!

I love this. Used to play hardball. Never celebrate when ball is live! Great work by 3B!

I HAD THIS ALL WRONG❗️

I THOUGHT THE THIRD BASEMAN( girl) WAS MAD THAT SHE DIDNT TAG THE RUNNER OUT IN TIME……

AND QUIT…. AND WAS GOING
HOME❗️❗️😳

THEN,
WHEN HER FRIEND TRIED TO
COMFORT HER…. I THOUGHT HE SLAPPED THE HORSE HOCKEY OUT OF HER❓❓

Only…. when nobody in the comment section was addressing her spoiled, and
nasty violent temper…..

I watched again and……

OOHHH…. the runner
“ jumped for joy “
and was tagged out!

SHES A HERO WHO KNOWS
HER POSITION…… respect!

GOT IT……. lol

She learned an important lesson right there about pride.

I was watching my little brother's little league game, and his team was at bat with a kid on second. The batter hit a pop fly and the kid on second yelled "I got it. I got it." and the shortstop and second baseman stood there as the ball fell to the ground and the kid took third. I laughed pretty hard at that. It made it worth going to the game.

The runner celebrated prematurely and wasn't paying attention to the situation. But also the third base player didn't give up on the play even though it seemed like it was over. Plenty of life lessons

The next day “ bring running shoes “ 😂

So young, but so smart. Just another example of "act like you've been there before". My personal favorite is in football when someone starts celebrating a touchdown before they get there and drop the ball on the 1 yard line

Last week at my softball game one of my teammates hit the ball and was running to first and the first baseman caught the ball before my teammate made it to the base but the umpire called her safe because the first baseman’s foot came off the bag, and the other team didn’t realize the umpire called her safe so the pitcher left the ball on the mound and everyone walked off the field since it would have been their last out and they were all celebrating, but my coaches saw the umpire call her safe so they sent her to second and everyone was confused but the other teams pitcher got the ball and threw it to second but made an overthrow and nobody was behind the base for back up so my teammate ended up making it all the way home. And that’s the reason you don’t celebrate too early.😂

Great job at third. Tough for the base runner. It was a weak jump anyway 😅

It happens in MLB as well. It wasn’t situational awareness it was pure luck. Just the way it happens in MLB. She just happened to tag her again at the precise moment she decided to celebrate. Nothing new or great.

That moment where you miss the high five and awkwardly hurt each other's wrists, but you don't care cause you're HYPE AF!!
