What is DevSecOps? | DevSecOps Explained by Experts

DevSecOps, short for Development, Security, and Operations, represents a software development approach that integrates security practices into the entire DevOps lifecycle. Unlike traditional methodologies where security was an afterthought, DevSecOps addresses vulnerabilities by incorporating security measures from the early stages of development through planning, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.

The term "shift-left" encapsulates the proactive approach of addressing security concerns early in the development process. Automation is a key principle, urging the use of automated tools for vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and security testing to ensure consistent security practices.
