Du må godt actually means more like "You are allowed to" 😋

No licorice? I'm surprised! As an American living in Denmark, I can say black licorice is a popular candy choice! (but the other snacks that were given were also classics)

"du må godt" is a catch phrase from spangsberg that basically means "you are allowed to" in a direct translation.
as in its okay to give into your "temptation" for candies.

i guess the closest equivalent would be something like "you know you want to" although it doesn't mean the same. but its like jokes, hard to translate.

Quite nice to hear how Phil's German origin allows him to pronounce lots of the words quite good. Native English speakers tend to just straight up butcher the words.

He should’ve bought actual licorice like Piratos or a licorice pipe, that’s what we eat a lot of in Denmark 🇩🇰

I am from Denmark and I'm impressed by how you pronounced some of these words, well done! especially "tak skal du have"

Danish person here. I love how he just smashes his face into the bag of cheeseballs because thats basically what I do every time I open a new bag of those. Also "du må godt" means "you may" (or something like that. There isn't really a direct translation (that I know of) but this is the closest to a what it means)

"Du må godt" in this case is like Spangsbergs slogan and means something like "Go ahead" or allowing you to indulge in them.
