Using the iPhone 4S in 2019 - Review

The iPhone 4S impressed at launch with the new additions of Siri and the first dual core processor in an iPhone, and was kept up to date for a full 5 years. And even recently in 2019 it received an update- how does the iPhone 4S hold up?

I'm using the 4S as my main phone because my friend broke my iPhone 5, I hate her for that.

My bestie and roommate actually owned a black 4S from year of release until August of 2015. His 4S was actually his first ever smartphone. Before it he actually still used a Motorola RAZR V3, and a discman for songs. Seeing a 4S brings back memories of when he and I really started bonding which began in October 2014. I actually didn't know him in 2011 just remember he told me he got his 4S when it was still flagship

The 4S was my first non-Blackberry smart phone. And it was wonderful. I even swapped out the black front glass for white, with a black home button. So I had a two-tone phone, and it really looked great. But trying to repair a broken screen was the worst. You had to gut the entire phone from the back to get at the screen, and hope you remembered all the steps and parts to put back into it.

iPhone 4 was way ahead from it's time and it was that iPhone which made people sheep to buy iPhone.

I can't complain. I had a 4S from 2012-2018! Finally upgraded (not fully) to the 8+. The 4S served me well, even though I was living in the past. Lol.

Dude! I loved my 5s so much.
I have so many memories with that phone. 5s was the perfect phone for me. The size, the screen, the fingerprint was so fast for it's time...

I hope Apple will someday bring back this design...

I have had my iPhone 4S since 2012 and I haven't changed it. It still works ok. A tad slow but has saved me an absolute fortune.

It's useful for making just phone calls. I've given mine to my 88 year old step father and it's simple enough for him to use, but if he loses it, it's no big deal.
