Hungarian Dance No 5 - Scarf Movement Video

Hungarian Dance #5 is one of my favorite Western classical songs to move along to with my students. I often ask: what emotions do you hear in the music? There are many represented here if you listen hard enough!

The recording is by the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Herbert von Karajan. I've been trying to use less and less copyrighted music and recordings in my videos, but I feel strongly that Western art music should not be restricted by copyright laws if used and shared in meaningful ways.

These songs and movement ideas are so good for scarves (I just bought 30) but can also be used with bells, tambourines and maracas!! THANK YOU SIR!!!

I don't know if you did this on purpose, but the backgrounds for the different moods come very close to matching the Zones of Regulation colors! I can't wait to use this with my students to reinforce that! :-)

Did this with a preschool class for the first time and they LOVED IT! Thanks for this great video, fabulous for teaching form, expression, crossing the midline and so much more. I added “change hands” during the slow “tired” part for some additional hand transferring skills.
