Downloading the Epic Launcher from the Microsoft Store solved this problem for me.

i did all this and then it says the epic game launcher ended prematurely it does this every time i even tried to delete from the prompt screen which it said it was taken off but im still seeing and getting this stupid error

Thanks, but I'm trying to install Epic on a fresh install of Windows 11 Home with all the hardware drivers and updates downloaded. I have no Epic related processes running in the background, and nothing in Program Files or Program Files (x86). I have no clue what could be causing this problem.

Just downloading the Epic games launcher from Microsoft store is the way to go i guess,
i was able to install epic games launcher when i was running windows 8.1 until recently upgraded to a windows 11, and it would start giving me that "ended prematurely" thing.. (clean installation). So yeah downloaded it from Microsoft store and it worked

types in "epic" in search bar to end all with "epic" in background and force closed this video lol

mine never gets installed and under program x 86 andf program files there is no epic games launcher
