Fair analysis. It's a pity the 5 best teams have to slog it out against each other in the initial stages of the WC. Also the heat is not contributing towards entertaining play. The handling seems atrocious possibly due to the ball being slippery from all the sweat. So keeping that in mind i would imagine the teams reverting to up and unders or carries by big forwards.

To correct Matt. Scotland only made semis once in 1991, having played all games at Murrayfield and avoided Big guns. It’s still one more semi than Ireland though :).

"it's not the team saying that, it's the mood in Scotland"...on what planet is this guy on? I take it he lives in Scotland does he? I do, if he'd asked me id have confirmed that very, very few people think that this is the best scotland team ever. Results percentage wise, they are up there...but they don't have the trophies to prove it. At least in the 90s we could always count on beating Ireland, nowadays we can't even buy a win against them!

And Kearney with his "scotland always talk themselves up" nonsense, what does he expect them to say? Every year without fail. It's quite the show, ill informed and rather a little pathetic.

As a Bok supporter I think Scotland should be the overwhelming favorite as they have a magician as a flyhalf and a great backline. But my heart sais it is going to be a comfortable win for us by at least 10.

The Springboks are no more predictable than any other side... each team tries to play to their strengths and might make some suble changes depending on the oposition they face. I find it so weird that often the Springboks get called predictable or boring as if to imply that every other team is the opposite! The England v Argentina game was exceptionally boring for example... England just kicked every bit of possession and Argentina couldn't hold on to ball for more than five seconds.
