Held on October 18, 2019 and sponsored jointly by the Japan Program and Korea Program at Stanford University's Shorenstein APARC, this conference, "Japan and South Korea on the Brink: Escalating Friction Amidst an Uncertain World," brings together experts in the international affairs and trade relations of South Korea, Japan, and the United States to shed light into the critical questions surrounding the escalation of diplomatic and trade disputes between South Korea and Japan.
