What's going on my friends! It's your old pal Sean Pierce Johnson here and welcome to the mid-season finale of "Stompbox Saturday". Today, we're spending some time with possibly the most gorgeous sounding reverb pedals I've ever played: the Chase Bliss Audio CXM 1978.
Yes, this pedal is quite expensive but it's important to not look at CXM as JUST a reverb pedal. It's a pedal, a studio tool; it works for guitar, drums, vocals, acoustic guitar, synth...it's just an incredible reverb that has a wide range of uses.
In this video, I'll do my best to show you all you need to know about how to get a good sound with it AND just how intensely inspiring some of my favorite sounds are!

This is the last video I'll be making on this channel for a while. I thank you all for your unbelievable support this year. It's time for your boy to go make some music!

Have you tried riding the fader’s running a track out to the unit printing a track back into your DAW. You could do ducking or just morph the sounds.

Hey Sean! Awesome demo of this amazing pedal. I have one and that hall is everything I could ever want. I had a question about the mix fader... Do you feel like it goes 0 to 60 really fast? I find myself usually keeping pretty low when I want something more normal sounding. Do you know where the 50/50 point is? Thanks for this demo I learned even more about it.

Hey Sean, what amp and or dirt pedal are you using for the riff around 7:30 and also during the “riffs in a room setting”. God that tone is amazing.
