Good morning. A couple things that I forgot to mention in the other video when we discussed bio so I’ll mention it here. Yes I’ve had that happen for some of my machines for my HP and my Lenovo machine were the update has come for my bios. It happened several times with my Lenovo machine and once with my HP machine. And my Dell I also think it happened as well. Windows update would take care of that for me. Now, as a blind person, using the manufacturers website usually works fine. Just try to find your serial number for your laptop, sometimes I will use a command lined command to get that serial number if I don’t know it, or I’ll use an auto detect tool. Sometimes the manufacturers. Other detect tool like Dell support, can even download the drivers for your system as well. So Lenovo has one and HP has one as well. I forget the names of their tools at the moment, but I think the Lenovo one may be called vintage, but I think there’s also a driver utility specifically for just drivers. Sorry for the spelling error. It’s the word advantage minus the word add sorry. But the programs work OK for screen reader users it’s possible you might have to have somebody with site or vision or low vision get the drivers for you from the manufacturers websites. But I guess it also would depend on the screen reader you used to. My screen reader that I use currently job access with speech for Windows seems to be OK for now. Both with the manufacturers websites and their driver and/support utilities.

Thank you. Mine is the i5 14400F which people have said is a locked cpu and cannot be over volted. But I won’t take any chances and upgrade even though I am not experiencing any issues.

I have a Intel Core i7-13700KF, never had a problem, but ASUS had a bios update on their site (v. 2602). I updated the bios, just to be sure...

The root cause is a fundamental hardware flaw. They are trying to mitigate it with microcode. Maybe it'll last 1 year instead of 5 months. People should RMA for a full refund and instead buy a 12th gen.
