The Fjallraven Abisko Lite 2 - The Best One Person 4 Season Tent Review. In this video I explain why I honestly think that this is the best one person 4 season tent. It's tight for two but for one its all the space and strength most will ever need.....

Looking forward to see how this compares to the Nammatj, Tom. I’m hovering over the buy button on a Nallo but this tent does impress. I know the hillebergs are noisy in the wind and not great with condensation. Do you really rate this above the Nammatj or is the weight saving swaying things for you. Cheers.

Great to see a review that shoes some actual weather on the tent and not a backyard setup. Thanks so much for your review, really helps inform the consumer 🙏

Hi Tom. Always good to see some real world reviews under actual user conditions. A lot of nice touches on this tent for sure. Strength to weight it’s up there. Also you forgot to mention it’s outer pitch design. Another huge plus point IMO. Wind in the mourne mountains is just incessant, so for this type of camping an ultralight tent is just not a year round option. I’m glad you are so pleased with this tent 👍

The Trango was a solid performer. I had this same model. A real beast of a storm shelter, and very livable. The roof top window blew out of mine during a ferocious storm. That’s when the real fun began. I spent many fearful nights in that tent and it never disappointed me. I like your videos.

Another great video. Love when you test tents out in the field. Look forward to the Akto and the Nammatj comparisons with this tent.

I can see you are definitely smitten on your new find, Tom - well done! I really like the dual fabric on the outer, a really nice feature. The double tie backs on the door are a practical feature as well. You can really see how they have placed a lot of attention to detail on this tent. Very nice. Thanks.

this guy is one of the few people on youtube where you can trust his opinion because of his vast wealth of knowledge. I would buy a tent simply off his recommendation which is something Id never usually do. Great video.

Thanks Tom. I can see that this tent has much more room than my Soulo. I think the weight is comparable. Very helpful presentation. I use foam ear plugs when the wind sounds are so ferocious...

I agree! Fjällräven tents are SO AMAZING! I've have mine in some very strong winds +60mph and still ok... :) Hilleberg and Fjällräven are the best on the market. :)

I've just pulled the trigger on Abisko Endurance 2 (I need that extra porch space). I'm looking forward to taking it out and finally doing summit camps with the peace of mind.

Hey Tom, another realistic review. You won't have to worry about condensation build up. Seriously, some tough relentless winds. That's what is to be experienced to evaluate strength. Interested to see the rear vestibule rolled all the way up. Maybe during the Hilleberg comparison. Fjallraven knows their materials. Not surprised on the quality. Wouldn't it be simpler to have two 10mm poles though? I currently don't have a tunnel design tent. So I'll be watching. Thanks. Hardly ever too bad to make a cup of coffee.

Thanks for this interesting review. I own what I believe to be the predecessor of this tent: the Abisko Lightweight (2p version tent). Seeing as they don't offer any information on their site anymore and even deleted their old video's about care for this tent from their official YouTube Page, I hope maybe you can answer a question I've been having. Especially after seeing the performance in these kind of windspeeds.
I've owned the tent for around 9 years, but due to circumstances and going off to university, i've only used it lightly going hiking for 6 weekends in 9 years. (I bought it as a Boy Scout, thinking i'd invest in a good tent that'll last me a lifetime). I was always lucky with the weather and never experienced a storm but... I had the tent poles break on me during a windstill and dry night. I couldn't believe my tent being down when I woke up.
Do you have any experience on the DAC featherlite NSL poles being easy to break?
I hoped to take it to a summer trip to Iceland this summer so I set my tent up againto test if it was waterproof, and during the same night, where it was lightly drizzling, but without wind. My replacement pole I bought (which was literally still in the package... before I used it) also broke during the night... Now my wife is calling me crazy I payed 800 euro's for a tent (+ 200 euros for a replacement pole set) claiming that with the light camping we do, we'd better be off buying a whole new decathlon tent every year and coming out still cheaper. And I'm starting to believe her and lose faith in the Fjällräven brand...

Great review. Ive had a catastrophic tent failure on mt Kosciusko at about 2000metres. Using old tents for “nostalgic reasons. Massive storm. Had to use emergency hut. Next trip my friend had a tunnel tent similar storm nil issues. Sonexcellent reviews are critical for me 👍
