I honestly don't notice any difference whatsoever between them all. It never feels like I have aim assist.

Dynamic doesn't actually slow down more near an enemy, it slows down past the 50% threshold of your analog stick's total movement range. If you're doing really huge snaps from person to person it will FEEL like it works as you described it. To see what I'm talking about just crank your sens super high so you can do 180 degree turns with tiny motions. You'll be under the 50% threshold of your sticks and you won't feel the slowdown as much anymore.

Linear is the next wave - once pros understand how insanely smooth and consistent it is. You know how mouse and key pros don't use mouse acceleration? It's just like that. Your movement and aim will feel the same everytime and give you absolute predictable control. This allows you to develop muscle memory easily.

Edit - I would add that low or no deadzone on linear is a must. TSM Hal has a video on it on youtube. Drift is OK and actually a good thing. You want EVERY input to be registered for maximum response and control. As long as your thumb is on the stick it won't drift anyways.

I really wish pros would actually try and learn linear instead of dynamic. I know pros are set in their ways with dynamic but linear can surpass dynamic for many with muscle memory. On PC you turn off aim acceleration so linear works in a similar way to controller.

Because every pro and YouTuber is stuck on dynamic most casual players just select it without even thinking also. Ohwell their loss lol. Most YouTube videos explain dynamic wrong they just say it's the best cause it's fast.

Attach- You might sneer at it, but I’m kinda excited about gyro aiming. For me, this elevates analog aiming to keyboard and mouse precision. I remember playing BOTW and i really loved the gyro-aided bow aiming. It feels super sensitive at first but once I adjusted I felt like there was so much more fine control. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m sticking to gyro in MW2 for hip fire and ADS.

Yo in all honesty I think dynamic with precision is perfect for quick scope, drag scope, and distance sniping. Those 2 are great for sniper players.

What makes dynamic better than linear? I'm coming from Apex I'm having issues makeing my settings feel as good as my other settings. Mw2 feels alot slower than apex.

personally I usually copy what you use step by step just due to the fact i’ve been watching you for a while and sorta mimic my game off yours, but i’ve always been a faster player who uses mechanics and cheesy movement as much as I can. and for my play style which is basically yours lol i’ve noticed black ops slows me down way too much makes me feel stiff so to say, but I felt default and focused made me feel the most fluid with default of course being the best. and Dynamic of course is a must.

Aim assist for me doesn't work at all as soon as I am is directly at your feet or I aim to the side of them
