good video. I play the Alekhine defense because everyone plays e4 and I like to slow down attacking players. However, the Alekhine is not easy to play as black. you can easily get cramped and crushed unless you learn the defense thoroughly. I agree on the Scandinavian, which is not a good defense.

couldn't agree more with french defence :D I also score very bad against it since you are supposed to prove advantage as white but as it always happens in chess, you make one bad move black come at you so fast. A lots of theory there but dispite im very annoyed by the opening I find positions come out of french very interesting for both sides. Petroff is the most annoying for me and I would add there Philidor aswell because it's very solid and boring opening.

That's why I don't play e4 anymore : too many anoying responses.
In fact when you play e4, you let the blacks decide almost everythings.

Cochrane Gambit might be a good idea against the petrov if you are an attacking player

As a Scandinavian player, I can understand why it can be annoying. I win the majority of my games as black when I play it.
