Just how far would Orpheus go for Eurydice? To the end of time. To the end of the earth.

The set for this scene was the most beautiful and creative thing in the national theatre production, it's so great to see this!!

I love how no matter what video I click on for Hadestown content any negative comments always boil down to "it's no my favorite but it's still great and I'm going to support it no matter what." Like, seriously, even if you've been following this show from the beginning and you've gotten attached to old parts of it, everyone is still just so psyched to see it come to Broadway. That's so beautiful.

To be frank, idk how I feel about this scene in the Broadway production of "Wait For Me." I love Hadestown with all my heart and honestly the staging of "Wait For Me" is absolutely beauuuutiful. During the London production, this little bit where Hermes tells Orpheus "how to get to Hadestown" played out exactly how I've always envisioned it.

Before I even saw anything of the musical, I'd always imagine the beginning of "Wait For Me" to start with Hermes and Orpheus talking, then when Hermes says "How to get to Hadestown, " we cut ahead to Orpheus beginning his trek to Hadestown, alone, with Hermes voice from earlier in the background as if repeating in his head. I loved Orpheus stepping down, then weaving through the workers as they came about on the little revolving stage. That was in London. In this... I don't know how I feel about Hermes shoving Orpheus... and the way Orpheus leans more forward while he's holding out the flower and singing for me!" is a little... awkward ?? in my opinion ??

But this is what I thought when I first watched this clip. Rewatching it again, I guess the whole thing doesn't bother me as much as it did. REGARDLESS of all my thoughts, I'm still absolutely stoked to see this musical on Broadway. (Good luck to the cast and crew with previews this Friday !! ❤️)

I really really really hope that Hadestown gets a "Hamilton" treatment for Netflix or somewhere because I've seen it once, I'm planning to go again, but I'll never be able to see it as much as I wish I could.

Big fan, but why does Reeve hold out the flowers three times in a row? Seems very repetitive and unnecessary xd
