Project PANOPTES: A search for exoplanets using robots built by students & public..

The video shows a robotic telescope called PANOPTES with the Milky Way galaxy, Jupiter, Saturn and thousands of stars in the background sky. Project PANOPTES is a citizen science project that involves building small low-cost robotic telescopes to discover new exoplanets (planets outside our solar system). The telescopes are built by high school students and members in the public. The project allows anyone in the public to be part of new exoplanet discoveries in astronomy.
