Ques. For any two sets A and B, Show that the following statements are equivalent:

#Right answer is option C .
The intersection of set A and B is the common part of both Set A & B i.e is in the middle and then the Complement of set A and B is the remaining portion .

In first question if set of B would be {4, 5, 6} then how can you put it as a subset of A as you are also just assuming that B ={1, 2, 3, 4}

Sir can we solve like this.



Since the intersection of both the sets is null. So a and b are disjoint sets.


Now their unions are same. So this means that the elements of both are same.
We find that X is the common term in each if these unions. So removing them we will still maintain equality. Hence A=B(As elements would be equal).


Can't we use this?
