Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDP Fragrance Review

This time I will be reviewing the latest fragrance from the house of Chanel, the Chance Eau Tendre EDP.

It's National Fragrance week here in the UK, just in case you were wondering about my makeup. Every day in the run up to International Fragrance Day I will be highlighting a different fragrance from the past and fashions of the time. Today has been the 1920's and of course Chanel! Look out for more quick videos during the week!

The original fragrance was created by Jacques Polge in 2010, so is there any difference between the original and the new EDP flanker? Yes, there are!

The original is classed as a fruity floral and is very, very fresh! It has top notes of grapefruit and quince. In the heart are Jasmine and hyacinth. The base contains cedar, iris, amber and musk. It's a delicate 'girl next door' fragrance. To be truthful, this is not a fragrance that I wear as it doesn't stay long on my skin, but it is a lovely, fresh and light fragrance for summer.

When they launched the Chance Eau Tendre EDP, I was wondering whether there was going to be a lot of difference between the new fragrance and the original?

When I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised. One of the things I like about the new fragrance is continuity. It was designed by Olivier Polge son to Jacques Polge the creator of the original fragrance. The top notes of the EDP have maintained links with the original fragrance so here too you have grapefruit and quince. It is the heart and base that is different with jasmine absolute and rose. Automatically it is warmer, it has a sparkle and certainly, a bigger impact yet remains feminine. In the base is white musk. It's a fragrance that will last longer on my skin than the original.

It does remind me of the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. If you enjoy fragrances such as the Chanel Mademoiselle or Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming or any other fresh, fruity fragrance this is a fragrance to go and try on your skin!!

I love really strong perfumes but the edt blew me away totally different to what I normally lean too but I absolutely love this in the edt ❤

Love the edp. This is a classic. I will always keep it on my collection.

I've had both and I prefer the EDP. The drydown reminds me of clean laundry and a cup of tea. Something very soothing about it where I find the EDT to be a bit sharper to my nose.

Hi Ellie! I have the EDT version and was wondering if the EDP is different enough to purchase and save for a wedding fragrance?

Fragrantica indicates it has low longevity. A bit better than the EDT, but still low longevity. How true is this?

Maybe it’s my body chemistry but this one doesn’t last on my skin. I think Chanel is getting greedy and their EDPs are like watered down EDT. They are going to lose sales if they keep up with this trend, their fragrances are not that cheap. They are doing a disservice to their brand.

Great review! Does anyone else get a scent of rose in this one, or is it just me?

I have bought 2019 one version. The is nice but not long lasting. For £113, I never recommend it.

Not for me.  Way to heavy.  Back to Coca Mademoiselle!
