There is a lot of potential for the prototype. It reminds me of the first Devil May Cry game and the Final boss, Mundus. His presence is there and it gives an unnerving feeling of being watched while he isn't actually fighting you until the end. It's like a surveillance camera following you, and you know that something will happen eventually, but you don't know when, building up this tension throughout the playthrough. I feel like something similar can be done with the prototype. Always watching from afar, but the threat is always close. I find this Design idea to be more preferable rather than an amalgamation of everything put together in one. Not that I dislike what you presented here, I think it's fricking awesome, but i'm not a fan of "giant blob merged together" idea
