Lyrics:

VERSE 1:
Awakened by the sun’s rays,
up I rise for the new day.
The same routine but I have changed,
no longer will I stay the same.
My doubts and weakness used to reign,
but a new power I have now gained,
to face the day with a new light.
Worries fade away, and I’m ready to fight.

PRE-CHORUS:
Continue on this winding road,
strengths within must start to show.
I’ll leave behind my selfish ways,
gonna power up and it starts today.

CHORUS:
A change is due, a different view, we must go on.
I’ll find that key, inside of me, as we try to level up.
A change is due, a different view, we must go on.
I’ll find that key, inside of me, as we try to level up.

VERSE 2:
Beyond my home my journeys told,
thats full of life and love to behold.
The skills I’ve learned shape how I’ve grown,
still so much of this world is unknown.
Through storm and drought I’ll travel far,
over mountain tops, to guide I’ll use the star.
It lights the way through the darkest night,
illuminating our path, the end is in sight.

Is it just me or is COVID-19 making us want to watch our old Minecraft memories and nostalgia?

Antvenom went from making these Minecraft songs to arguing with Jschlatt in SMP Live

Theory about the blonde kid that fused with the enderman: when he fused, the endermans ability was added into him without and disadvantages, except for 1. His good memories was erased, and he knew about his friends not saving him, so he thought of his old friends as traitors

The guitar solo in this song is a big part of what inspired me to start learning guitar. Now I'm a decent player. Thanks

This has always been one of my favourite minecraft songs and songs in general. Its embodies the words "perseverance" and "determination" so well. They lyrics stray so deep and apply incredibly to real life. It's a beautiful song that really gets you through tough situations.

3 good things about the blond kid fusing with the enderman. He doesn’t have the water weakness, he doesn’t get crazy when he see people in the eyes, and of course he can teleport

Why do I feel so nostaligic, like it's been 8 or so years, when it's really only been a few? This video is from 2017, yet it feels so old. Maybe that's because I grew up quickly in the time period between 7th grade (When I first saw it) and now, at the end of 9th grade. Can someone really grow up in two years?

AntVenom truly is a literal "Complete" Minetuber...Like seriously look upon his works! He did....everything...From Documentaries to Music Videos to Animations(I'm unsure if he did it himself lol), to Facts sharing/producing to gamelay to literal what not? I love this dude, the dood's been a part of my reason to click on the "white play button hovering over a red sheet" site...Love ya man <3

Even though these are female vocals, I think that this song is written/sung from the blond kid's point of view.

(Warning: 442-word lyric and video breakdown incoming.)
The lyrics are about how much he thinks someone needs to change in order to become stronger (or level up). This is especially prevalent in the pre-chorus and chorus when he talks about how he has to find his inner strength to face these strange circumstances and his uncertain future. He's going to "leave behind [his] selfish ways, " becoming a different person to who he was as a child, believing he will become stronger because of it ("gonna power up.")

He says how much he has changed compared to his younger self: "The same routine but [he has] changed." Also "The new power [he has] now gained" from that whole ordeal has allowed him to overcome his doubts and weaknesses that used to govern his life. He has become more confident to "face the day with a new light, " and the new power he got made his "worries fade away and [he's] ready to fight."

This also relates to how he must have overcome his insecurities and resolved to steal what was in that chest, which based on how he immediately ran off while his friends were distracted and how he eyed the box, he had been planning on doing for some time. I don't think he knew exactly what was in there (an ender pearl). I think he was just curious what that old guy had that was so important that he would protect with an ender chest. That day, his curiosity managed to get the better of him and he just grabbed the first thing he saw was in there.

"Beyond my home, my journey's told, " is sung on a shot of the kid's missing poster. This correlates with how when he went missing, people knew of him through these posters that were placed outside the village.

"The skills I've learned shape how I've grown, " refers to his teleportation and ender abilities, and how his experience with it has twisted him into a different person through the years.

"Still so much of this world is unknown, " and the lyrics following it before the chorus make me think that when he disappeared, the pearl and enderman teleported to a place nobody had ever seen before. He was lost and tried to use the stars to guide himself home. It took years, and he went through all the different terrains he mentioned.

I think the POV changes to the girl's the second time the chorus is sung. She has to persevere and find inner strength to face the fact that this guy is no longer her friend from years ago, as well as literally finding strength to make it through the nether.
